YPCC's Calendar Of Events Within Moore County
With all of the pawsome local events Moore County has to offer, Your Pet Care Connection's calendar sure stays busy! We're actively involved in multiple Moore County community events, pet charity fundraisers, and much more.
YPCC strives to give back to Pinehurst, and surrounding areas, every way we can. Check out YPCC's upcoming dates calendar for local pet charities, community events, and outreach programs below!
YPCC's Calendar: Community Tent Events
Your Pet Care Connection is actively involved in our local Moore County community, and we look forward to attending several recurring tent events each year. We're excited to attend these local events in 2024:
Saturday Pet Adoption Events
1st Saturdays, At Your Local Pet Supermarket
- When: The 1st Saturday of each month
- Where: Pet Supermarket, In Southern Pines NC
- What: Each month YPCC and a local pet rescue group band together, for one pup-tactic event, at our local Pet Supermarket. Looking to adopt, or want to connect with us in person? Come out and get to know YPCC, during these monthly events!
SpringFest Community Fair
Spring Fest
- When: April 27th, 10AM-4PM
- Where: The Streets Of Downtown Southern Pines, You Can't Miss It!
- What: Bring the whole family, and come on out to one of Southern Pine's biggest events of the year! This local small business and arts & craft fair has a vast array of booths that's sure to keep everyone entertained for hours. Be sure to stop by and say hi to us while you're there!
FallFest Community Fair
Fall Fest (AKA Autumn Fest)
- When: October 5th, 10AM-4PM
- Where: In The Downtown Southern Pines Park Square
- What: Bring the whole family, and come out to Southern Pine's biggest end of year event! This local arts & craft fair has a vast array of booths, and food trucks, that'll be sure to keep everyone entertained well into the afternoon. Be sure to stop by and say hi to us while you're there!
Sandhills Dog Fair
Sandhills Dog Fair (AKA The Downtown Aberdeen Dog Fair)
- When: Saturday, April 13th, From 10AM - 2PM
- Where: Pinehurst Arboretum, Pinehurst NC
- What: This stellar event just keeps getting bigger, and better, every year! Come out and get to know YPCC, during this pawsome pet charity event. Bring the whole family, and come out to support your local Moore County pet rescues and shelter groups!
Woofstock Dog Fair

- When: Saturday, March 2ed, From 10AM - 2PM
- Where: 210 Memorial Park Ct., Southern Pines
- What: Come out and get to know YPCC, during this pawsome pet charity event. Bring the whole family, and come out to support your local pet shelters and more!
Jingle-Tails Dog Fair

- When: 2ed Saturday in December, From 10AM - 2PM
- Where: The Southern Pines Growler
- What: Come out and get to know YPCC, during this pawsome pet event. Support small local businesses this holiday, and shop small! Bring the whole family, and come out to support your local small business owners, and check out a whole host of pet gear up for grabs!

Your Pet Care Connection is actively involved in our local Moore County community. We actively engage in, and create, several community events annually. Get out, and get active, with your pet this year! We're excited to be hosting these local events in 2024:

- What: Get out walking, and join in the fun with YPCC’s painted pets scavenger hunt. Take a photo with your pet, and the rock you found, and tag us on social for a $5 care credit! Limit one per household :).

YPCC Client Pet Food Drives
Pet Food & Supplies Drives
- When: During The Months Of March, July, And November
- Where: Designated Drop-Off Locations & In-Home Pick Up Available For Clients, During Their Scheduled Care Visits
- What: YPCC is more than just pet care, we're family! More than that, we're a family that cares. We want to see each pet flourish and be well provided for. YPCC runs quarterly pet food and supplies donation drives to help give back to the pets within our community.

- Where: Pet Supermarket, In Southern Pines
- What: Come out and create some memories with your friends at YPCC! We will be hosting a series of pet-tastic holiday photo booths to help support our local pet shelters. Take your own photos for free, or get two pawsome polaroid pictures of your pet with any $5 or more donation. 100% of proceeds go to support pets in need!

- Where: Pet Supermarket, In Southern Pines
- What:Join our movement to reinforce positive reinforcement! Don’t miss out on our prong/shock/choke collar exchange program! Participate in our exchange program and earn a $10 dog walk credit + 25% off a new harness at our local Southern Pines Pet Supermarket!!Note: please be located within YPCC’s service areas to redeem walking credit. 25% harness discount only valid at our local pet supermarket in Southern Pines, harness must be purchased at time of trade-in. Paint A Pet Rock Program
Dates Coincide With Our Major Tent Events 🙂
Penick Village
YPCC’s “Paint A Pet Rock” program aims to help bring a little joy to Moore County’s local nursing home residents.
We understand that making such a large life change, and not being able to bring your furry family member with you, is a challenging move. Through YPCC’s free painting workshops, MoCo residents can paint a pet rock, name it, and write a short note to someone making that life change.

YPCC is always looking for new ways to plug into the community. We always aim to shop at small local businesses within Moore County, for our donation baskets and more, and always have our nose to the ground for new opportunities to donate to local non-profits!
